5S Visual Management Training Workshop
Overview
A 1 to 1.5 day workshop that can be provided on-site or at another appropriate venue.
For all people involved in implementing 5S Visual Management into their workplace.
The 5S Visual Management Training Workshop is designed to impart all of the required tools and learning required to commence implementation. The workshop agenda covers the history and origins of 5S, thorough descriptions of the concepts and interactive exercises to further develop understanding of how and why the techniques work. Many visual examples of real 5S techniques in practice are also shown. When conducted on site (highly recommended), the workshop includes implementation support as participants begin the actual process of applying the techniques in their workplace.
The workshop can be done in a single day, but our recommendation is to conduct the workshop on-site over 1.5 days, with a break in between sesisons. The typical approach is to begin with a one day workshop introducing the core concepts of Sort, Set In Order and Shine, along with some practical implementation support. We then leave a 4 to 6 week break before returning to conduct the final half day session, which includes a walkaround and review of progress followed by training on the final two concepts, Standardise and Sustain. Our experience shows that this approach provides the best long term results.
